Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Paperly (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Paperly is operated by Gaurav Patil (“we”, “us”, “our”) and is currently in beta.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
3. Account & Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately at support@paperly.in if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any laws
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Abuse AI features to generate harmful, deceptive, or illegal content
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, payment gates, or authentication
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written consent
- Scrape, crawl, or programmatically harvest content at scale
5. Subscriptions & Payments
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Razorpay. Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on first-time purchases — write to us at support@paperly.in.
6. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of all content you create on Paperly — your LaTeX documents, resumes, and reports. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your content solely to provide the Service. We claim no ownership over your work.
7. AI-Generated Content
AI outputs are provided as suggestions and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for academic submission without review. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before use. Paperly does not guarantee the accuracy of AI outputs.
8. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice. We are not liable for data loss due to service interruptions — please download your documents regularly.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Paperly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Maharashtra, India.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
